Weather Resilience
Weather Resilience is a collaborative effort between GoFundMe.org and Comite Civico del Valle in which they aim to mitigate the health risks that affect our communities through extreme weather conditions. This program was launched in May 2024 and aims to initially help 100 families in the Imperial Valley region. With this program, low income families may qualify for up to three incentives including: reverse osmosis water filtration system, an air purifier, and a HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) system to improve the indoor air, water quality and to shield families from extreme heat conditions. In order to qualify one must be equal to or fall under the 300% federal poverty level.
