LOCAL RESIDENTS WITH PASSION FOR COMMUNITY ARE ENCOURAGED TO SEEK STATE COMMISSION APPOINTMENTS

On Friday, the El Centro Public Library hosted a Community Leaders State Boards and Commissions Appointments Workshop, with the support of City of Centro and Comite Civico del Valle. The workshop was led by Office of Governor Newsom SoCal Regional Director Maurice Lyles, with special speaker Secretary Morgan Carvajal, Office of Governor Newsom. Secretary Carvajal explained the process and requirements of attaining a state commission appointment.
Secretary Carvajal explained how state commission appointments play a pivotal role in the governance and administration of various public sectors. These commissions are often tasked with overseeing critical areas such as education, healthcare, transportation, and public safety. They directly impact the efficiency and effectiveness of state operations.
Secretary Carvajal encouraged anyone with interest in community service to apply for an appointment. She stressed state commission appointments are crucial for the effective governance and administration of public sectors.
